Original dark green cloth with gilt-stamped spine title and blind-ruled borders on both boards. "Stereotypirt und gedruckt bei King und Baird, No. 607 Sansomstrasse, Philadelphia"--p. 389. Publisher's catalog for I. Kohler, 202 N. 4th St., Philadelphia, on unpaginated pages following text. The author explains 40 Bible-based prophecies to occur from 1867 to 1875, including that Napoleon III would become the absolute head of a "Congress of Ten Nations." This German translation of Baxter's The Coming Wonders Expected between 1867 and 1875 is extremely scarce. It appears to be the sole output of the firm of Schlauch und Kline in Slatington, Pa. In Very Good- Condition: ends of spine fraying; corners bumped and rubbed; cloth is slightly soiled; front free endpaper detached but present; back hinge weak; foxing, primarily along page edges; otherwise clean and tight.
