New York: American Tract Society [Amerik. Traktatsgesellschaft], 1838. Hardcover. Very Good -. Printed by Daniel Fanshaw. The American Tract Society used "150 Nassau St.," the address in the imprint, from 1833 to 1894; Daniel Fanshaw was the printer for the society from about 1826 to 1846. The foreward is dated 1838. This volume, therefore, was produced between 1838 and 1846. 480 p.; 16 cm. Comtemporary full calf with five spine compartments between gilt rules; black leather label in second compartment with gilt-tooled title: Baxter's Ruhe der Heiligen. A translation of the author's The Saints Everlasting Rest. Former owner's inscription on front fixed endpaper, dated 1858. In Very Good- Condition: leather is rubbed with several small scrapes; front joint just starting at head; old dampstain in upper corner of most pages; some pages are browning; clean and tight.
