Sm. folio. 499pp. 503pp. Tooled, panelled original pigskin with brass clasps. Title plate in leather with gold lettering. Raised bands. Some age wear and staining on binding. Red page edges. Name of previous owner, date and place handwritten in black ink on half title. Title vignettes throughout. Early Latin edition (translated from the French) of Calmet's popular Bible dictionary. Illustrated with 18 full page etchings (one folding), and 4 fold-out maps. Tight copy in very good condition.
