G. Bell and Sons, Ltd. Cambridge: Delighton Bell and Co, 1920. Leather Bound. Good. 8vo. Light blue cloth with blue leather spine and corners. 5 raised spines and 6 compartments. Gilt lettering and flourishes over dark tan calf leather. Marbled pastel endpages. Copperplate portrait frontispiece of Pepys with tissue protector opposite of title page. Composed between 1660 and 1669, Pepys's diary boasts an amazing record of life in London during that time, including accounts of the Great Plague of 1665 and the Great Fire of 1666. Minor fading to cloth on boards. Minimal discoloration to pages and endpages. Slight cracking to spines. Gilt remains clear and in tact.
