About This Item

US: D. Appleton & Co, 1914. Hardcover. Very Good -. Tan cloth over boards with gilt particulars and gilt and blue decoration to spine and front board. Frontispiece is attached and intact. Pages have scattered foxing and soiling throughout; title page is heavily foxed. Text block is foxed with light to moderate shelf wear; top edge gilt; fore edge and lower edge deckled. Boards are lightly soiled with two black pen marks to front board; rubbing and bumping to edges, corners and ends of spine. Inner hinges cracked, but still hold. Binding is sound. Clear plastic dust jacket has chipping to ends of spine.
