The acclaimed mystery writer's third book of adventure travel in the deserts of the Western US, in 160 pages, illustrated throughout with line drawings + a 16-page section of black-and-white photos in center. A First Edition, first printing, published in London in 1966, this hardcover 8vo has blue cloth-covered boards with silver lettering to spine. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & tight, pages creamy white with a hint of tanning to edges, binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Slight rubbing to extremities, bumped corners are only flaws. The price-clipped DJ is also Near Fine, with the slightest rubbing to both ends of spine & corners & light soil to back cover; no fading, nicely protected in new mylar cover.
