Yellow faux silk place marker with a little fraying of the edges. Photographic dustwrapper with white and black coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Black-and-white photographs of author to the rear fold over panel. In a Mumbai apartment block an odd job man, Vishnu, lies dying on the staircase landing. All around him the lives of the residents continue – social and religious differences ongoing, until Vishnu is pronounced no ordinary man ... Author's first novel. Rubbing of the book edges and some marks to the book panels. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. The yellow coloured place marker has a frayed end.
