Softcover NF/ w/trace wear to spine corner tips. First published 1955; this is a 1958 reprint. Collection of tales as told to good friend Earl C. Driskill by Walter Edward Scott (1872 - 1954), better known as Death Valley Scotty, prospector of gold, performer, and con man, and who captured America's attention for half a century. The stories, recorded in Scotty's unique brand of the vernacular, were all read to Scotty editing; Scotty testifies that he is "positive that there is not a word that would be harmful to anybody" --- speaking miles of his philosophy. The collection was first published a year after Scotty's death and is preceded by memorial remarks.
