About This Item
London: Collins, 1963. A first edition, first printing published by Collins Crime Club in 1963. A very good/near fine book with some spotting to the top edge, some off-setting to the front endpaper. Inscribed on the front endpaper by Day Lewis: 'for Nan/on her 60th birthday/with love from/CDL/JDL/DDL/TDL'. In a very good unclipped wrapper with wear to the edges and some scratches to the rear. The recipient was Minnie Bowler, nanny to Cecil Day Lewis's children (Daniel and Tamsin). Exceptionally rare warm inscription
