About This Item

Christian Press Association Publishing Co, 1902. First English Edition. Hardcover. VERY GOOD. 16mo, burgundy cloth, gilt spine lettering. Spine toned, tips worn, sound and square otherwise, unmarked. Very scarce only English edition of a French spiritual classic, written by Abbe Perreyve during a period of extended debilitating illness. An interesting work dealing with disability and sickness from a spiritual perspective. Written in a direct second-person in a tone of deep respect and regard, the language throughout affirms the dignity, agency, and spiritual power of those dealing with bodily infirmity.
