New York: D. Appleton & Co., 1889. Title page dated 1889. Scholarly reference on Darwin and anything related to his work by the noted American botanist. Rust colored cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and black. Externally good with light edge rubbing, remains of old paper label at spine foot, good hinges, sound text block, pages unfortunately intermittently dampstained throughout - fully legible and with stains mainly limited to the upper and lower margins - no damp odor, pages otherwise clean, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
