Simms and M'intyre, 1853. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1853. No Edition Remarks. 392 pages. Half bound brown leather with purple cloth covered boards. Textblock slightly coming away from front board. Front endpapers and half-title page are almost detached. Pages remain bright and clear with light tanning and foxing. Water staining to bottom edge of textblock with marks on last few pages. Previous owner's inscription to half-title page. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Leather is peeling to edges, corners and spine. Large splits to front joint and board is slightly loose. Brown markings on front board. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
