Tiny bump and spot of wear to one lower corner tip. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound, pages and edges are clean. Clean endpapers - no names, writing or bookplates. 256 pages. Bright dust jacket has chipping to corners and top and bottom spine edge, is not price clipped; photo and bio of author on rear panel. Novel set in San Francisco courtroom where Tom Rogers, an assistant attorney general of the Justice Department, is engaged in the battle of his life. It is up to him to strip the cloak of respectability from the unctuous and powerful Dr. Claude T. T. Darby, prophet of the Congregation of the Militant Meek, and expose him to the unbelieving American public as a top functionary of the Communist underground..
