About This Item
London: Virtue and Company. Very Good- with no dust jacket. Three-Quarter Leather. The binding is red leather over green cloth with marbled endpapers and gilt decoration and edges. The leather has some rubbing at the spine ends and corners but is generally sound and attractive. The volume is missing 14 of the 80 listed illustrations -- there is no sign of removal and I would guess the volume was bound without them. The illustrations are steel engravings from drawings by William M. Bartlett printed on full page with blank reverse. The volume is also missing pages 13-28, 85-92,125-132, and 149-164. As with the illustrations, the volume was bound without the missing pages. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 235 pages .
