London: J.M. Dent & Sons, 1912. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good+. 4to. [4], v-xiii, [1], 1-184, [4] pp. Grey cloth with gold lettering and green and black decorations on the front board and spine; top edge gilt. Illustrated with a color frontispiece and with 51 mounted color plates, with several line drawings as well. Decorations done by A.R. Quinton. A beautifully illustrated tour of rural England: the plates depict thatch-roofed cottages, streams, and small hamlets in England. The front hinge is tender but secure, corners show minor rubbing and the rear board has a small sticker ghost.
