DJ moderately worn, with bit of spotting/soil, browning along edges, small edge nicks, with two quarter-inch tears on rear panel and bit of paper loss (about 1/8 inch) at upper spine. ; .

New York: Devin-Adair, 1956. Padraic Colum (1881-1972) was a leading figure in the Irish Literary Revival; a poet, dramatist, and critic, both a friend and editor of James Joyce. He left Ireland before the Revolution and had a long and distinguished career in the United States. Originally published by Macmillan in 1932; this copy the Second Printing of a revised edition with new materical. Decorative paper-covered boards with a green linen spine and gilt lettering. Clean text; 214 pages, with Notes. This copy has been SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author on the FFEP. Bookplate on the front paste-down Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Inscribed By Author. Reprint.. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.
