Edinburgh: William Blackwood and Sons, 1896. Hardcover. Duodecimo (12mo). viii. 191pp. + 4pp. ads. Bound in publisher's cloth boards with gilt decoration and titling. Top edge is gilt. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper: 'Rev. A.W. Averett D.D. With the esteem of the Author Wallace Bruce Happy New Year 1896.' GOOD. Shows the bottom corner harshly bumped which has just slightly split the hinge and cloth and effect the first quarter of the text-block, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
