Bobbie Ann Mason (b. 1940) is a novelist, literary critic, and Pulitzer Prize finalist. In Country was her first novel, and it was adapted into a film starring Bruce Willis and Emily Lloyd in 1989. In 2000, Mason's Clear Springs: A Memoir was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Biography.
