First printing, with statement "Published February, 1907," boxed advertisement for Uniform Edition with seventeen titles listed and six titles under the heading "Other Books by Mark Twain," list of illustrations set in eight lines including heading, and misprint in the text at page 123.2 "Autobiograyhy;" first state frontispiece with facsimile signature captioned 1906. 8vo; [6], 362 pp. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Publisher's original red cloth, spine a tad faded, but still a very nice copy. Twain's take on Christian Science, in particular its founder, Mary Baker Eddy. "In it has been by purpose to present a character-portrait of Mrs. Eddy, drawn from her own acts and words soley..and to explain the nature and scoipe of her Monarchy, as revealed in the laws which she governs it, and which she wrote herself."
