Edgar Esq, 28.9.44, Dear Sir, I am very sorry I allowed you to go without the book on Jade. I will end it to the works on Monday next, as no doubt you are very busy. Do you like Swansea and Nantgarw Porcelain? I have a very fine Sucrier, mounted in fine Ormolu. Thanking you for past favours and assuring you of my best attention at all times, I remain, Yous very faithfully, Frederick Allen.' Allen had a period Chinese antiques and fine art shop on 186 Broad Street in Birmingham.Without the original dustwrapper. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light marks and a little discolouration to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Small crack to the rear joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some odd spots and handling marks. Very Good
