New York: Duffield & Company, 1906. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo 7" - 7. E.C. Peixotto. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean front paneled but a bit toned, fine red lettering and red, green and tan illustration, duotone illustration pasted on, barely abraded. Minimal rubbing to extremities. Rough-cut fore- and bottom-edges. Fine black-and-white engraving at frontis, printed on high-gloss paper, nine additional glossy black-and-white illustrations from drawings by E.C. Peixotto. Wallace Irwin (March 15, 1875 â February 14, 1959) was, according to his Wikipedia entry, "an American writer of humorous sketches, light verse, screenplays, short stories, novels, nautical lays, aphorisms, journalism, political satire, lyrics for Broadway musicals, and the libretto for an opera," and also wrote mystery novels. [1] 81 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
