This novel is chronologically the last of the Scarlet Pimpernel series, a wealthy man who turns into an escape artist to save French aristocrats during the French Revolution.Baroness Emma Orczy was a Hungarian-British author and playwright.With library label to front pastedown and prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper. No dust wrapper present. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities resulting in some wear.
