London: T Fisher Unwin Ltd, 1904. 1st Edition. Original Cloth. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Type: Presentation Copy xxiiipp; 287pp; 8pp. A lovely copy of this first edition being a presentation copy 'to F. Arup Esq with the authors compliments' in ink to the front end paper. A variety of photographic illustrations and drawings throughout support the text, including a colour frontiepiece plate with tissue guard. Bound in original cloth with a blue embossed picture to the front board. There is light toning to the spine of the book with a light bump to the tail of the spine and a tiny nik to the cloth at the head of the spine with a little associated rubbing. There are a few light soil marks to the rear board and there is light toning to the end papers and half title page. Internally clean and tight. A very good copy.
