About This Item

Royal octavo, hardcover, fine in near fine (price-clipped) beige dj in mylar sleeve. 368 pp. First edition, first printing. McCabe was a man of letters, a literary artist, who had a remarkable command of the English language; he wrote for the San Francisco Chronicle in the 60's and 70's. He gave us provocative opinions. At his funeral one admirer said "the son of a bitch could write about anything and make it interesting".
