New York: Cosmopolitan Book Corporation. Very Good+ with no dust jacket. 1928. Hardcover. Charles Fox (1749-1806) was a British Whig statesman who opposed King George III and helped to gain passage of a Parliamentry resolution pledging the abolition of the slave trade and was also an advocate for independence for foreign colonies. Origninal blue cloth publisher's binding with gilt spine and cover lettering. There is an attractive previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown and a tiny bump to the upper corner of the cover, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 389 pages .
