Gold boards with black print on spine. Pages are clean and unmarked. DAW / Science Fiction Book Club hard cover with dust jacket, 1st printing Feb. 1985 (code P08), SFBC #3885, 182 pages, cover art by Michael Whelan. 8vo (8.5" x 5.5") First edition was a limited edition 1984 hard cover published by Phantasia Press. This edition is the hard cover edition of a DAW mass paperback edition. 5th place, 1985 Locus Poll Award. 2nd in series, preceded by Pride of Chanur, and followed by The Kif Strike Back and others.
