Octavo, pp. viii, 215, b/w frontis portrait, b/w plates, vignette title page, original gilt decorated green cloth boards with gilt ship illustration, top edge gilt. Top of spine rubbed, small split rear edge of tanned spine, corners bumped. Very good condition. Account of the rescue of Irish convicts from the colony of Western Australia, 1876, by the whaling captain of the Catalpa, George S. Anthony. Also provides a background account of the Fenian organisation. Scarce. 1st Edition. Cloth Boards.
