In this novel, Booth tells the story of Steen, an employee of a London firm of international road haulers. Steen unknowingly brings a deadly disease into the country via a cargo of fruit, after a work trip to Barcelona. From then on, he becomes The Carrier. This novel follows what happens to Steen after this realisation. With an eye-catching dust wrapper designed by British comic book artist and illustrator, John Bolton.
