Rich Wolfe (died August 31, 2020) was an American sports writer and marketer who wrote over fifty books, mainly about unique team's fan cultures. As marketing manager for the Continental Basketball Association's team Quad City Thunder, he produced memorable half-time shows which included chainsaw juggling, a Jackson Five puppet show and Moore's Mess of Mutts. Wolfe later went on to be the owner of the Cedar Rapids Sharpshooters, a member of the Global Basketball Association for the 1992-3 season. He lost the franchise in 1992 for "financial reasons" and later sued the Five Seasons Center and the new owners for slander. Wolfe grew up in Lost Nation, Iowa and played basketball and baseball at Notre Dame. He was inducted as one of Leahy's Lads (playing under Frank Leahy) in 2006. He was a sports enthusiast and trivia buff and said he was the only person who had appeared on both Jeopardy! and ESPN's Two Minute Drill. Wolfe wrote all of his books without a computer and sold them mostly direct via mail order. The Remembrances are all here--the joy, the jokes, the pranks, the Games--told by an all-star team of fans. It's like sitting round the Ballpark listening to friends reminiscing about the team we all love. If you are a Cardinal fan, this book is the timetale of your life! You are about to be swept into genius minds of cardinal fans, awe-struck by their farsighted scheming, stricken dumb by their wonderful stories as they lay bare their sordid live affair with the st. Louis Cardinals. There's never been a book like this... a vehicle for fans to share their funniest stories, saddest memories, happiest times and craziest moments. Almost every story will be a reflection of your personal Cardinal memory bank. The remembrances are all here- the joy, the jokes, the pranks, the games- told by an all-star team of fans. It's like sitting around the ballpark listening to friends reminiscing about the team we all love. Get your estate in order, you may not see another dawn...because you might die laughing from reading For Cardinal Fans Only. He also authored a book For Yankee Fans Only, which is also difficult to locate.
