About This Item

London: Jonathan Cape, 1976. First. Hardcover. Fine/VG+. 236 pp, ill, end paper maps. Capt Shakespear is a legend among the tribes of Central Arabia yet he was virtually unknown to the general public until this book came into print. While men like TE Lawrence and Philby knew of Shakepear, and while his political predictions often came true in the last century, this fascinating individual is still relatively obscure. An interesting book.
