Good cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with presentation inscription from author and appreciation inscription from company opposite title page that shows mild rubbing and soil to covers, tearing along front hinge of front endpaper and half title, along with some other light trace wear. 259 pages with bibliography, some black & whites and endpaper maps. Solid inscribed copy of this look at the noted Modoc hung for the murder of General Canby.
