1928 hardcover as pictured. A nicely made edition that has seen some use. This book includes Candide as well as Cosi-Sancta, Memnon, Bababec and the Fakirs,The Story of Scarmentados Travels, Jeannot and Colon and Lord Chesterfields Ears. The text also includes 12 macabre illustrations by Norman Tealby. Binding is intact. Black cloth boards with gold stamping are rubbed with fraying at edges and corners. A small piece at top of spine is detached but present. Previous owner's name and notations on front endpapers. Rough cut text appears unmarked. No dust jacket. Price reflects condition.
