About This Item
NY: Scribners, 1911. First. Hard Cover. First edition. Red cloth lettered in white and decorated with 3-color illustration of a sinister, wild-eyed villian holding a box camera up to his face. Illustrated with black and white plates. Rather unusual vintage mystery novel by the creator of "Raffles" in which the plot involves the attempt to take spirit photographs. Very good, somewhat cocked and sunned at the spine.
