A very fine, engraved allegorical frontispiece, captioned at bottom. With 66 text illustrations of coins. Large pictorial woodcut devise to title-page, decorative initials and tail-pieces. Set in double columns. HARDCOVER, handsomely bound in contemporary vellum, spine with raised bands, manuscript title in contemporary hand in second compartment, sides blind-ruled (corner-tips bit exposed), central large ornament blind-stamped on each side. Overall a fine copy. ~ FIRST EDITION, this copy is collated in accordance with the University of London copy. Includes "C. Suetonii Tranquilli libri duo, De illustribus grammaticis, et de claris rhetoribus; cum annotationibus doctissimorum virorum"; and "C. Suetonii Tranquilli Liber VIII, sive, Tres imperatores Caesares Vespasiani, interpretati, & emendati à Theodoro Marcilio (.)" each with a separate section title. Suetonius (ca. 69-ca. 122).
