No prior owner attribution. Spine of book is bumped at top edge. Corners crisp. Dust jacket chipped at top edge of spine and has closed end tear from tail of spine. Outer edges of jacket have been taped. Author/artist was a pre-World War II journalist and cartoonist. Book is prolific with b/w cartoon drawings by author. A humerous autobiographical description of an American's inscription into the military in 1942, and learning to adapt to the culture, food, money and women while based in Australia during the war.
