First printing with blank endpapers, near fine hardcover shows light shelf wear including touch of bumping to corners, else tight and clean, in near fine price-clipped dust jacket that shows a wrinkle extending length of front flap with light bit of sliding to jacket causing it to read along spine a bit off center. 374 pages with black & white illustrations. Still an attractive copy of this first state first printing of this work that captures the story of the great buffalo in all its significance.
