Previous owner's name in ink on FFEP. ; A bright solid book. Dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt titles front and spine ; B&W Plates; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 289 pages; Howay was the pre-eminent historian when it came to the Pacific Northwest. Here he goes into great detail about the early explorers, the native population, the arrival of the Hudson's Bay Company and the fur trade, the founding of the colonies, the Gold Rush and the formation of the government. .
