Ashdown's illustrated study on the castles of Britain.Looking at Bodiam Castle, Maiden Castle, Pevensey Castle, the Tower of London, Arundel Castle, Rochester Castle, Windsor Castle, Hever Castle, Edinburgh Castle, and more.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, thirty-one colour plates, and in-text line drawings.Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Only a few light marks to the boards. Cloth to the head of the rear board is a little cockled. Discolouration to the paste downs and endpapers. Dust wrapper is edge worn with small chips and closed tears, including a chip to the spine. Light marks to the dust wrapper, spine a little discoloured. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a couple of light handling marks. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
