Dent, 1975. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. H/B 190 pages, condition is very good, photographs in B+W. The DJ has been price clipped. The British Army that was first seen through the eye of the camera in the late 1840s was little different from that which fought at Waterloo. By 1914, however, when the period covered by this book ended, the Army was equipped with up-to-date weapons, mechanized transport, improved administration and suitable uniforms. These changes are all highlighted in this fascinating collections of old photographs.
