About This Item

New York: Minedition / Penguin Young Readers Group. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 2007. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 0698400429 . A clean and pristine copy, with no inscriptions and no signs of prior use. There is something a little odd about the endpapers at the gutter, a little bit of puffiness, not something often seen. It seems to be a function of the glossy paper used in production. The effect is quite mild, and perhaps may be seen in other copies, if indeed it stems from a production flaw. Otherwise, quite a lovely copy. The jacket has slight wear at top and bottom of the spine. A mylar Brodart cover now protects it. Fast shipping, with tracking number provided. ; 10.71 X 10.71 X 0.47 inches; 32 pages .

Synopsis

This is the classic tale of four beleaguered animals—a donkey who can no longer work, a hound who can no longer hunt, a cat who’s too old to chase mice, and a rooster who’s scheduled to become dinner—who decide to run off to be musicians in the town of Bremen. But they get more than they bargained for when they stumble upon a frightful gang of robbers. Maybe they can find a clever way to turn their dreadful singing to their advantage in this wittily illustrated book that’s sure to appeal to Ms. Zwerger’s many fans.
