"Stars and Bars Edition" with leaf SIGNED by Roberts inserted prior to title-page. Roberts is thought by many to have to have had some African American ancestry although he categorically denied it. "Brave Mardi Gras" is a pro-confederate novel about the Creole aristocracy of New Orleans.
