Illustrated with 24 exquisitely hand-colored plates, showing 4 different plants per plate (#769-864), each protected with tissue. Tall square 8vo, wide margins, attractively bound in contemporary 3/4 polished calf over marbled boards; gilt-decorated spine with leather labels and raised bands (lightly dulled), t.e.g. London: Simpkin, Marshall & Co., no date, circa 1836. A near fine copy with very clean plates.<br/><br/>
