The first edition of this detailed account of James Boswell's time in Holland, through letters and diary entries. First edition. Illustrated with frontispiece and four plates. Collated complete. A work of travel writing, containing diaries and letters by James Boswell, a Scottish biographer, diarist, and lawyer, from his time travelling through Holland. Edited by Frederick Albert Pottle, an American editor best known as the editor of Boswell's papers and the author of an outstanding account of Boswell's life. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Original clipped dust wrapper also very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
