Book Condition: Very Good; tape residue on the boards from taped on mylar jacket; tape stain on endpapers; bumping to tail. DJ: Near Fine; sunning to spine. Yellow cloth boards and spine with brown lettering on the spine and front board. 153 pp 8vo. The author is a learned college-educated man who was born in 1893 and grew up in primitive Ozark country where being born barefooted was the norm. His greatest miracle was surviving childhood and the second was actually getting an education in south-central Kansas. A great story of the hardships, spirit, and fortitude it took to succeed in the early teens. A clean very presentable copy.
