's Gravenhage,: S. Lankhout & Co., ca. 1879.. A fine lithograph after the oil painting by Th. L. Mesker. 17 x 22 cm. The family Blok, and especially Josef Blok (1732-1905), were wellknown antiquarian booksellers in The Hague. Josef was sketched by Vincent van Gogh in Novermber 1881, and in the authum of 1892, Josef organized some lectures of Verlaine in the Netherlands. Staubert, p 501 wrongly says Botermarkt, Amsterdam. See Heijbroek & Vis, Verlaine in Nederland, 13-14; De Boekenwereld 10, I, p.23.
