Aberdeen, Scotland: Printed at the Free Press Office, 1896 In GOOD ++ CONDITION. 104pp, bound in original brown cloth with decorative red scroll around title and Parish Seal. Photographic frontis has tissue guard intact, with photographs throughout, along with a ground plan of the Abbey Church of Deir and Precincts, 1789. Contents include The Stone Circles of Deir, Patron Saint of Deir - Saint Drostan, The Book of Deir, The Parish and Ministers of Deir, Eminent Men and Women, the Ballad of Sir James the Rose and much more. Covers show corner wear, age darkening, small ink stain to front cover, front hinge starting, occasional foxing (mostly on prelims). BINDING TIGHT. From the personal collection of Francis M. O'Brien, author and legendary Maine Bookseller (no identification markings, but he noted in pencil, on the ffp "stone circle").
