Very Good Condition/Fair. bound in light blue vinyl with Mainline Mysteries and a skull in dark blue of the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. Blue coloured tint to the top text edge. Illustrated dustjacket with blue and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The second Lieutenant F. X. Kerrigan mystery. Lieutenant Kerrigan is asked to review the evidence that led to the conviction of an attractive woman for second-degree murder. The evidence was overwhelming and the convicted woman is now serving 20 years to life for the murder. But, upon re-examination of the evidence and what he finds out Lieutenant Kerrigan stumbles upon a curious story .... Rubbing of the back strip corners and a book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages Chipping of the dustwrapper corners with the lower one third of the rear panel missing – please see photograph. Some chips and rubs to the fold over creases and there is an erosion to the back strip 2 inches from the top. Sunning of the back strip and lighter sunning of the panels.
