Fiction by Ireland and American-based author Donn Byrne (born Brian Oswald Patrick Donn-Byrne 1889 d.1928), adept at both English and Gaelic, who had begun selling his writing in magazines by 1912. He was a prolific novelist, short story writer, and poet, setting his scenes internationally. Byrne had died in an auto accident in Ireland. This novel is of a blind poet who wanders Ireland avenging his wife's dishonor. It is more of a saga than his earlier works, with prose transitioning to verse, and back again.
