A true first edition, (First impression) with no mention of reprint to the copyright page and Illustrated by the author unlike the later editions which have illustrated by the author and Edward Shenton to the title page. A fair copy in original blue pictorial boards. Browning to the spine and chipping to the top and bottom of the spine. Light browning to the pages and a small stain to the bottom of the last five, light wear but clean and fully complete with the five full page illustrations by the author present. Very Scarce..
