Black April: A Novel by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Julia Peterkin. Hardcover. Bound in brown publisher's cloth with gilt lettering within a gilt border on the cover. Gilt lettering on the spine. Endpapers are a geometric pattern in black, brown and dark mauve color tones. Title page is in brown and black ink. 316 pp. Page 17 has "ducks quacked" as consistent with the first edition, first printing. Lacking dust jacket. Shows general rubbing and wear. Fading gilt lettering. 1/2 inch closed tear at the bottom of the first flyleaf through the introductory papers, yet does not compromise the text. Leaves have beautifully and evenly toned. Unmarked. A nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
